Kim Hodges, Principal

Leadership

Kimberly “Kim” Hodges brings a wealth of experience to Mary Immaculate Queen School. Being born and raised in this community, it only made sense to begin her administrative career back home in the Lemoore/Hanford area.  After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree History and a secondary teaching credential from California State University, Fresno, she began her teaching career at San Joaquin Memorial High school in Fresno, where she taught Civics, Economics, U.S. History, Contemporary Issues, AP Economics, and Psychology.  During her 24 years at SJM, Kim also held the position of Student Activities Director for 14 years and taught Leadership while taking on many different roles in support of her students and school community like Social Science Department Chair, Student Advisory Committee, Student Discipline Committee, Freshman Basketball and JV Softball Coach, Kairos retreat leader and Co-Coordinator, Pep and Cheer Moderator, and Administration Board member. While teaching, coaching and managing a family, Kim attained her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with the aspiration to one day attain her Administrative Credential to become a principal one day.  Understanding the commitment, it takes to continue her education, working along side her peers striving for strong academic models and motivational strategies, Kim attained her Administrative Credential with the intention of bringing a Faith filled mission with a sound educational model based on her education and teaching experience.

“Knowing the community and its desire to continue the deep-rooted history of MIQ and its thriving parish community, familial atmosphere, as well as to continue the academic excellence while educating the whole child,” is exactly what attracted Kim back home. Being able to lead by faith, educate with the Gospels as the core principle, and build a community of followers of Christ, is how Kim hopes to continue to build on the school’s extraordinary heritage and aspirations for the future.

Mrs. Hodges is an only child with a large extended family, born and raised in Armona, a Hanford High graduate, wife, mother of two grown children, dog-mom of 3, HUGE Elvis fan and lifelong learner passionate about education. Being a part of this community has only enriched her life and ignited her determination to growing MIQ’s enrollment and ensuring it continues to a pillar of this community.
